JPA Designer SAP 9.90 version 5.02a1 is approved for calculations in England & Wales and Scotland and for EPC's in England & Wales.

SAP is the government's Standard Assessment Procedure which is used to assess the energy efficiency of dwellings and their rate of emission of carbon dioxide.

An advanced version of the SAP 9.90 module developed to import data from the 3D graphical user interface within IES <VE> software. The module enables users to undertake compliance calculations directly from <VE> models, or to start from Google SketchUp™ or Autodesk® Revit® models.
This module is also available as part of the iSAP 2010 bundle which offers a complete compliance solution for dwellings and non-dwellings.

* To complete SAP assessments you will need a method for calculating U-values. This can be a program you already own/use or either the JPA Designer Uvalue 2010 module or the Uvalue Professional 2010 module. If you do not already have a Uvalue calculator we recommend you look at our Software bundle option as it contains both the SAP 9.90 and U-value Professional 2010 modules at a discounted price.

On 17th April 2011 revised arrangements for issuing Energy Performance Certificates came into effect. There are changes to: JPA Designer has been updated to implement those changes and all users should download and install Version 5.02a1. The extent of the changes varies between countries, and users should follow the relevant guidance shown in our Technical Note 2011/03.
